Blue Journal is Ester Wiesnerova's

debut album of 11 original compositions

written for a unique quintet (harp,

percussion). The compositions unfold

somewhere between folk and contemporary

jazz. The lyrical depth and sophisticated beauty

of Ester's writing inspired musicians from the

United States, Great Britain, and Japan to

rehearse, record, and travel to Europe, despite

the strong restrictions and uncertainty of the

pandemic world in early 2021. Furthermore, the

music resonated with a Grammy Award-

winning mixing engineer Olle Romo (Shania

Twain, Elton John, Lady Gaga) who offered to

mix the entire album in kind. Blue Journal will be

released in May 2022.
