The program will include the beloved “Drum Roll” Symphony #103 by F. Joseph Haydn; selections from Bizet’s Carmen Suite #2 and Tzigane, the enticing gypsy violin masterpiece by M. Ravel. Featured in the performance are two of the Boston area’s truly talented musicians: Emil Altschuler, violin and Charles Overton, Harp. In addition to Ravel’s Tzigane, Emil and Charles will perform Massenet’s “Meditation” from the opera Thaïs (a beautiful work, beautifully performed). William Nicholson, a Sudbury resident and Managing Director of the orchestra, will conduct.
